Tamilnadu Government announced another portal for e-passes opened

The Tamilnadu goverment has opened another portal for registration of persons intenting to enter or leave the state. In addition to nonresidenttamil.org, the government operationalised https://tnepass.tnega.org/#/user/pass for e-passes.

Individuals can apply for marriage, medical emergency or close relative's death only.

Exempted activities for which pass need not be applied.

Agriculture

01. Animal feed manufacturing and feed plants, including supply of raw material, such as maize and soya

02. Collection, processing, distribution and sale of milk and milk products by milk processing plants, including transport and supply chain

03. Operation of animal husbandry farms including poultry farms & hatcheries and livestock farming activity

04. Operation of animal shelter homes, including Gaushalas

Fisheries

01. Hatcheries, feed plants, commercial aquaria

02. Movement of fish/ shrimp and fish products, fish seed/ feed and workers for all these activities

03. Operations of the fishing (marine and inland) / aquaculture industry, including feeding & maintenance, harvesting, processing, packaging, cold chain, sale and marketing

Movement, loading/unloading Goods

01. அனைத்து சரக்குப் போக்குவரத்து / All goods traffic

02. அனைத்து விதமான பொருட்களின் நகர்வு / சுமை வாகனம் / Movement of all goods/carrier vehicles

03. நெடுஞ்சாலை உணவு விடுதி (தாபா) / Dhabas on Highways

04. வாகன பழுது பார்ப்பு நிலையம் / Shops for truck repairs
